Dear Baby- A Letter to my future child
Dear baby,
You technically don’t even exist but I already love you so much. Your daddy thinks I am crazy, however I think about you everyday and how I want you to be in my life so much, however timing hasn’t helped get you to us. You see baby we are living in a worldwide pandemic, which has plagued our lives the past year. The coronavirus also known as COVID 19 has been a disease, which has sickened many and unfortunately caused some unfortunately souls to loose their lives. As your mommy my number one job on this earth is to protect you from any potential dangers and you see precious baby, mommy is a healthcare worker and has been exposed to so many sick individuals that your daddy and I did not want to be put into a situation where you would not be in a world that was safe for you to live in. We thankfully have a vaccine, which is offering some protection so if we do get the virus our body will know how to fight it. The world is upside down but is slowly turning around in a positive manner. You would not believe it baby; we are wearing masks everywhere we go! When mommy was a little girl masks were only for Halloween or costume parties but now it is a daily reality!
With things calming down with the virus, your daddy and I had a conversation that because mommy is getting a bit older and we think it is time for us to try to bring you into this world to be with us. This made mommy so happy because I have wanted to have you come into our family for the longest time. I went to my doctor who I chose because I wanted him to deliver you and part of a routine checkup on mommies reproductive track I learned that I have what they call a bicornuate uterus which basically means that I don’t have the greatest home for you to grow as big and strong a some other babies are able to do so. When I found this out I cried so much and called both your daddy and grandma due to my lack of giving you a perfect home while you are in mommies tummy. Despite this complication I am going to try to do anything and everything I can to make sure you are part of our family. Mommy is trying to get her body in tip top shape in order to carry you when that time comes. Please know how much I already love you! You already have a couple of onesies as well as a stuffed bear which says how special you are! Daddy and I have collected the best books from when we were kids in order to share with you when you are older, and you already have mommy’s favorite rocking horse in your room from when mommy was a little girl. Baby you are my whole world and I know that I would move mountains for you. Please bear with my less than ideal home in mommies tummy and please please grow as big and as strong as you can while you are in there. I don’t care if you make me sick as long as you are successfully growing and staying in mommy’s tummy as long as you can. I love you infinitely baby and please come to be a part of our family soon.
Love your mommy!
